Harmony in Blue and Gold:

The Travels and Travails of Whistler's Peacock Room

Located at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, Whistler’s Harmony in Blue and Gold, or the Peacock Room as it is commonly called, is a mesmerizing, immersive experience.  Its enduring impression, however, may have as much to do with the room’s embellished and unusual history as it does the artwork.  Join Sara McComb as she shares a brief history of the Peacock Room from her tourist’s perspective.
